13th Asia Security Council will be held in Singapore on the 30th of this month

The 13th Asia Security Council's so-called “Shangri-La Dialogue”, a multinational security conference conducted by IISS (International Institute for Strategic Studies), will be held in Singapore from the 30th of this month to the 1st of the next. At this council, the plenary session will focus on five different subjects – America‘s contribution to regional security, promotion of military-to-military cooperation, strategic conflict management, China's role for peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region, and dispute management within the Asia-Pacific region. Korea is going to have a presentation about strategic conflict management with Australia, Russia and Vietnam at the third session.

At the sectional conference, high-ranking officials of participants and civilian experts exchange their opinions with subjects such as the “future of North Korea: influences on regional security”, “Asia security in the cyber area”, “security order in ASEAN and emerging regions”, “challenges of pollution maintenance and management” and “climate change within the Asia-Pacific region”, divided into six groups.

The ASC, held annually since 2002, is a place of exchanging opinions about the Asia-Pacific region as well as global security issues and spreading a bond of sympathy.
