“With the punishment of lightning when the enemy provokes” … multiple rocket launcher system firing training

“A perfect mass fire protects the central front!”

Guryong lightning battalion 6th Artillery Brigade had a training for multiple rocket launcher system(MRLS) firing at an artillery training camp in Cherwon, Gangwon-do, on September 23. 

It was for the tactical and technical firing that considers characteristics of a MRL battalion, and the battalion showed a firing readiness posture to prepare for the enemy’s provocation threatening the central front.

Gaining confidence through the real firing, soldiers set a goal to punish the enemy rapidly and accurately. They started the training with shell assembling and loading, then demonstrated the mass fire. Although it was in conditions of heavy winds, they performed rapid suppressive fire with powerful propulsion, demonstrating a reliable firing readiness posture.

“We will maintain the perfect firing level to rapidly, accurately and fully punish the enemy when provoking us.”said Lieutenant Colonel Choi Cheol-soo, the commander of Guryong lightning battalion.
