The tank company of the 72nd Army division received “Tank gun firing training for the first half of 2014” at a training field in Mugeon-ri, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do from July 21 to 25.

The training went off intensively, focusing on improving gun firing ability for hitting the target with the first round and mastering command and control capability. With a thorough education for officers, they first raised their teaching ability during the post training. As they focused on insufficient areas by duty, they could build up confidence along with the improvement of teamwork.

Based on this, they could get ready for tank gun firing with a more than 90 percent accuracy rate during the crew qualification course and combat firing of platoons. Moreover, platoon commanders and tank commanders could achieve a profitable result to master command and control ability for a random situation through practical and tactical training by operating opposing forces.

“We will carry out our duty to the fullest with the spirit of hitting the target with the first round based on the performance of this training,” said Major Chae Bong-ju, the tank company commander.
