Korea-U.S. air defense weapons controller-exchange education bet...
“Korean and U.S. Air Forces build teamwork.”

The 32nd group, the subordinate of the Air Defense and Control Command and 621 squadron of the U.S. 7th Air Force had a four-day mutual exchange education at the dean’s office and operation room from February 3 to 6.

For this training, the Korean instructor took the responsibility of the education to improve combined operations capability.

First Lieutenant Kwon Dae-Seong, the instructor, said that it was an opportunity to explain the features of the Korean weapon system and to share it with the U.S. operations officers in Korea who perform various operations.

The education consisted of actual fighting contents from operational procedures of the Korean Air Force to operation of the weapon system. Staff Sergeant Laier Selmic said, “I can understand the weapon system of the Korean Air Force better than ever. I guess the Soaring Eagle training makes this education more dramatically effective.”

And the U.S. relevant official who attended the completion ceremony said, “The Korean Air Force is an organization that operates a variety of weapon systems in a very modern way. Air controllers having experience in Korea show a high level of understanding of tactics even after being deployed to other locations.”
