The 3rd Naval Fleet has established an airtight defensive posture around the southern waters with a live environment training.

The fleet developed the training to attain the defense posture for national major facilities at Mokpo port on January 27. Its aim is to efficiently operate the available fighting power in wartime and pull up the mission capability.

The intensive training consisted of actual Field Training Exercise (FTX) for antiaircraft and post defense, Command Post Exercise (CPX) for harbor protection, and so on.

They especially focused on blocking off the source of enemy penetration under the assumption of a situation in which special operation forces turned rearward of the enemy. Also, they made a great effort to build an airtight surveillance system, maximize teamwork in perfect order and learn mission operating procedures.

“With the actual warfare-like training for harbor protection, we could attain confidence for victory and boost morale. We will keep this readiness to destroy the enemy’s penetration or provocation based on the highest degree of tactics and techniques,” said Colonel Choi Heon-Sik, the commander of the base.
