Deputy commander of Korea-U.S. combined forces, Park Seon-woo, visited the site of the Korea-U.S. combined arms exercise conducted as part of FE training at Rodriguez multi-purpose live firing range in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do and encouraged the soldiers.

The training was for the enhancement of combined operational ability in time of emergency with a variety of available resources of both armies such as aviation, artillery, armor and infantry, etc.

This annual FE training is carried out by Korea-U.S. combined forces and U.S. armed forces in Korea to improve combat readiness posture of Korea-U.S. combined forces for defending the Korean Peninsula. It will last until the 24th day of next month after starting on March 2.

“I am expecting the Korea-U.S. combined forces’ readiness would be more perfect through this training. It would make a permanent and strong alliance between the two countries as well as be helpful for regional peace and security,” said Deputy Commander Park.

Meanwhile, the U.S. 8th Army is going to open the Korea-U.S. combined arms exercise to the public and demonstrate the overall training at Rodriguez range on March 25.
