Korea-U.S. Navies assure cooperation for friendly relations
The U.S. 23,000-ton class submarine support ship put into Busan operating base

The U.S. submarine support ship, Frank Cable, visited Korea on March 12 to improve friendly cooperation with the Korean Navy. 

Receiving Korean sailors’ warm welcome, sailors of the Frank Cable put into the Busan operating base, naval operations command, to stay until the 17th doing various activities.

Meeting with graduate students of Changwon Campus of Korea Polytechnics, worship at the UN Memorial Cemetery, a tour of Korean submarines, etc., are scheduled.

And they will strengthen their relationship through combined volunteer work at a social welfare organization and friendly sports activities such as soccer, basketball and softball.

The 23,000-ton class Frank Cable is 196 meters long and 25.9m wide, and its 600 sailors conduct a maintenance supporting mission on board.
