Combined training including situational training and maneuvering reconnaissance
Well-communicated just in five days … doubled operational capability

The Dongmyeong Unit conducted missions in Lebanon as the UN Peacekeeping Forces had a combined training for better mission capability with the Lebanese Forces at post for five days, from April 27 to May 1.

 

The training focused on having combined operational capability in a variety of situations such as war games, situational trainings, operation of a checkpoint, identification of and measures for IEDs, combined foot reconnaissance and maneuvering reconnaissance, etc.

 

“It was a good chance to develop combined operational capability with the Lebanese forces. We could have the training together as well as effectively communicate with them, so that it will be helpful for carrying out operations in time of emergency,” said Captain Ku Man-woong.

 

And Lebanese Second Lieutenant Joseph Korban said, “I could feel the superiority of the Korean Army, which has great strength and perfect operational capability, through this combined training. I’d like to continue this friendly exchange with them from now on.”
