‘The best product and technology demonstration business fair,’ which aimed to promote and introduce the best products from the private sector to the military, has successfully ended.

Held at the MND Convention in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, from July 13 to 14, the fair was arranged to provide private enterprises with opportunities to deliver their own products and technologies to the military. The offerings at this convention extended from previous logistics areas to facilities in order to provide companies with a wide range of chances to showcase their excellent technologies and products.

53 companies have proposed new military supplies via the MND webpage, while 36 of those that passed through the documentation phase joined the military area.

Also, 45 companies that asked to promote their new technologies and excellent products related to defense and military facilities for the last 5 years participated in the fair, which took place in the facility area, ultimately making the fair a success.

The fair consisted of company presentations, configuration audits and demonstrations, and Q and A sessions. Civil and military experts council proceeded with a closed field evaluation to verify the possibility of applying the proposed products to the army and reflected the evaluation results to selection process of trial products.

If any products and technologies are judged to be suitable for military operations and its using environment as well as they are proved to yield the best performance to meet military demands, they will eventually be applied throughout the military.

The Republic of Korea’s Deputy Minister for Force and Resources Management, the MND, Kang Byung-ju, who organized the fair, said, “We’re going to enhance fairness and transparency across all stages, so that all the products and technologies proposed by companies not only boost the defense readiness condition, but also contribute to promoting the welfare of military personnel.” and he emphasized, saying “We will continue to develop this fair to open up a market for outstanding enterprises, and to try to take the lead in activating the private sector."
