[Air Force Operations Command] “Don’t ever dream of enemy aircraft penetration“

 

the Hoguk exercise 


Air Force Operations Command (hereinafter referred to as AFOC) led the joint air defense training of the army, navy and air forces, held as part of the Hoguk exercise on November 2, and enhanced the military joint detection and interception ability, preparing for enemy aircraft penetration.


For this training, main detection and interception assets of all three armed forces were fully mobilized, including air force aircraft, army aircraft, Joint Aerial Observation Post (JAOP), low altitude acquisition radars, short-range air defense weapons, navy AEGIS ships, etc.


The training consisted of integrated detection training using air defense radar, Joint Aerial Observation Post, low altitude acquisition radars and AEGIS ships, preparing for enemy penetration of high speed and low altitude low speed aircraft and drones, and interception training with fighter aircraft, guided missiles, ground and marine air defense weapons.
