Hetsal battalion, 27th Army Division, said that on March 9, the battalion went through firing training for officers using night vision devices at a personal weapons firing range within the operational area. The training was conducted at night, when the darkness deepened and it is difficult to secure a clear view, in order to enhance the night firepower and cultivate soldier-teaching ability of the officers.

In particular, to ensure the efficient operation of day/night scope (PVS-11K) and night vision device (PVS-04K), the battalion was taught data and operating methods in advance in order to increase the training's effectiveness.

Captain Kim Dong-kyu, who participated in the training, said “It was an opportunity for us as officers to increase our night fire power and soldier-teaching ability. With this training, we will be able to offer more effective, systematic education and training to those who lose their self-confidence during night firing, and try our best to build units that are ready for combat, even tonight”.
