Armed Forces distribute Kakao Talk emoticons for free

 

The first prize winner in contest, ‘Strong Friends Military Emoticons’

On February 13, the Ministry of National Defense announced that they will be distributing the award-winners work through Kakao Talk's ‘MND Emoticons Contest 2016’ for free to increase public level of interest in and closeness to the military and soldiers. This has been arranged as part of the ‘Thank You! Soldiers’ Soldier Love Campaign, which the MND initiated last year. The emoticons can be downloaded from Kakao Talk after adding ‘Defense Ministry of Korea’ as a plus friend.

The distributed emoticons, ‘Strong friends military emoticons,’ are animated emoticons that won first prize in the contest. The emoticons will be distributed for the next month, starting on February 13; they will be available for 30 days after downloading. Stop-motion emoticons, 'Korean Tongguni,’ which were selected as an excellent prize, will be distributed in April.


The MND officials announced, “It is our hope that the public and the military will grow closer together through this free distribution of military emoticons. We will keep trying to connect with people in various ways.”
