The second youth online cheering team of the Ministry of National Defense is taking a step forward. On the 22nd, the MND held a ceremony to open the second Defense Ministry ‘Online Supporters M Friends.’ The name M(Military)-Friends represents the military’s will to communicate with the public in a more friendly and closer manner, and the M-Friends group consists of 30 university students, filled with youthful passion and spirit. Since last month, the group has been recruited through the Social Network Service (SNS) of the Ministry of National Defense.

Over the next 7 months, M-Friends will be participating in a range of public campaigns to promote the MND through on-line and off-line activities. The group will actively participate in diverse field communication events to introduce the policies of the MND, while maintaining an on-line presence through a blog.

As well, a new feature has been established, tentatively called ‘Here comes M-Friends,’ which is a corner where people can go to visit ‘the wonderful military’ members that are successfully conducting missions in various fields. As well, an on-line and off-line campaign called ‘Thank you! Soldiers!’ will be held to show our love for the soldiers, and we encourage the public to participate.
