On May 18th, the Korea Armed Forces Military Command held the 11th National Defense Hacking Competition to strengthen our ability to respond to cyber warfare. In this year's competition, 9 of the most elite intelligence expert teams, whose mission is to support Korea’s information security, competed on their abilities in a contest that involved evaluating malicious code identification, penetration pathway analysis and action planning in a similar environment to an actual hacking attack. The results will be released this coming September at the opening ceremony of the 15th national defense security conference at the MND Convention in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The winning team will receive the Minister of National Defense Award and the runner-up teams will each receive Commander-in-Chief and Korea Internet Development Agency (KISA) awards.
