Ministry of National Defense distributes Hoguk Fon

The Ministry of National Defense has announced that in June it will mark Memorial Month by distributing a new Korean font called Hoguk (photo), free of charge. The Hoguk font was developed jointly by the Ministry of National Defense and the Font Division from Hangria, Inc. after about a year's work. It was inspired by the characters engraved on the Stele of Gwanggaeto the Great, who led Goguryeo's golden age. “After analyzing the characters from the stele, we managed to adapt them into a modern concept while keeping their original style,” said a source from Ministry of National Defense.

The Hoguk font consists of a headline font and a general text font. Since it is developed in unicode, it can be expressed in any language and is available for all operating systems, programs, and languages.

Visit the website and blog ("Donggodongnak") of the Ministry of National Defense at any time to download the Hoguk fonts. The fonts can be used in a range of media, including video and printed media, along with website and mobile media.
