Soldiers and defense ministry employees to receive

Military soldiers and employees of the Ministry of National Defense will receive a 50 percent discount on the car-sharing services ‘SOCAR’ and ‘Green Car.’ On April 13, the ministry made the statement that “the military had concluded a business agreement between the Military Mutual Aid Association C&C, Lotte Rental, Green Car, and SOCAR to ensure the enhancement of the welfare of military service members and ministry employees.”

This agreement was concluded through a consensus that used car distributors can provide welfare benefits to soldiers and ministry employees to honor their efforts to protect our national security, while helping to advance car sharing, which has been used widely in the community these days.

Lotte Rental will provide some of the rental fee for long-term and short-term rental cars, a discount on rental cars, and a discount coupon to buy a used car, while Green Car will provide a 50 percent discount on vehicle rental fees.

SOCAR plans to provide a 50 percent discount on car rental fees, and a discount on the insurance fee for rental cars to military personnel with a good driving record (military officers and soldiers). The Military Mutual Aid Association C&C will provide technical support on the internet to ensure that the benefit is smoothly granted to soldiers and ministry employees.

From the end of April, military officers, ministry employees, and soldiers can receive the benefit by going through a simple process of identification after logging on to the Lotte Rental, Green Car, or SOCAR website via the IMND app or the Narasarang app, respectively, on their smartphones. For soldiers, the benefit will be provided only to personnel to be discharged in less than one year, with the aim of preventing car accidents.
