ROK-Pakistan Defense Vice Ministers’ Meeting held

On October 11 (Tuesday), Vice Minister of National Defense Shin Beom-cheol had a bilateral meeting with Pakistan Vice Minister of Defense Hamud, who was visiting South Korea during a tour of Northeast Asia, and discussed ways to develop bilateral defense exchanges and cooperation.

The Vice Ministers evaluated that there are active exchanges between the two countries' high-level defense and military officials, as well as educational exchanges between officers, and then agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in various areas such as peacekeeping operations (PKO), training exchanges, and defense-industry cooperation based on such personnel exchanges.

The two Vice Ministers also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on ROK-Pakistan defense cooperation immediately after the meeting.
