Ministry of National Defense holds ‘Major Commanders’ Video Conference of All Armed Forces’ in consideration of the current security situation



Firm military readiness posture against potential North Korean provocations to be maintained


Strengthening of soldiers’ mental readiness posture and establishment of the military operational discipline emphasized



At 10:30 am on Friday, October 7, National Defense Minister Lee Jong-seop presided over the ‘Commanders' Video Conference of All Armed Forces.’
At the meeting, attendees expressed their determination to ensure a thorough military readiness posture and establish mental readiness and operational discipline by evaluating the possibility of additional provocations from North Korea, given its recent launches of multiple types of ballistic missiles.
 



In addition, they evaluated the achievements of defense policies adopted since the inauguration of the Yoon Seok Yeol government, including the establishment of a South Korean style three-axis system, the development of the Defense Innovation 4.0 Basic Plan, improvement of the capabilities to implement the US extended deterrence, and reinforcement of ROK-US　joint exercises and training, and agreed that all members must sincerely cooperate to systematically and efficiently promote six key tasks for future defense operations.
