Minister Lee Jong-sup and Secretary Austin spoke on the phone and discussed media reports of leaked military information

Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin, stated that they will maintain close communication and full cooperation with the Korean government regarding the recent exposure of US military secrets.”

The Defense Ministry stated that Secretary Austin spoke with Minister Lee on April 11 via phone, discussing the recent media coverage of the release of US military secrets.

Secretary Austin initiated the phone conversation.

According to the Defense Ministry, Minister Lee and Secretary Austin affirmed that the ROK/US Alliance is stronger than ever before. They also pledged to work together to significantly enhance the Alliance with a variety of commemorative projects in honor of its 70th anniversary.
