On May 20, Minister of National Defense Han Min-koo awarded Peruvian Air Force Commander Dante Antonio Arevalo Abate the Order of National Security Merit, Tongil Medal, on his visit to Korea to strengthen military exchange and defense cooperation between Korea and Peru. He earned the medal for providing an opportunity for development of national defense cooperation as he has made a contribution to smooth implementation of KT-1P, the symbolic project of Korea-Peru cooperation. The commander arrived on May 18 and will stay until the 22nd, spreading military diplomatic activities.
