ROK, US to hold 20th ROK-US Integrated Defense Dialogue (KIDD)

The defense ministries of the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the United States (US) will hold the 20th Korea-US Integrated Defense Dialogue (KIDD) from September 27 to 28 in Seoul.

During this dialogue, the ROK and the US will △ share their assessments of the security situation on the Korean Peninsula, △ cooperate on policies regarding North Korea to promote the complete denuclearization of and permanent peace on the peninsula, △ push for the condition-based transfer of wartime operational control, and △ discuss the main pending security issues between the two allies, including ways to promote defense cooperation for the comprehensive and reciprocal development of the ROK-US alliance.
