Defense Tri-lateral Talks

On March 28, MND said that there will be the “6th DTT” where senior members of Korea, the U.S. and Japan Department of Defense are in attendance from April 17-18 in Washington, the U.S.

MND gave a detailed agenda for these talks, saying that they will discuss mutual assistance measures against nuclear and missile threats from North Korea and cooperation plans for supernational and non-military threats such as humanitarian rescue and disaster relief.

The security conference, DTT, is an annual event that assistant minister-level members of the three countries‘ defense department attend, and this would be the fifth since 2008. 

The Pentagon officially confirmed the DTT on March 27, local time.
