The Dongmyeong unit that serves PKO in Lebanon recently gave the a personnel information system to the general headquarters of Lebanon.

The devices provided are 20 items of seven kinds including 3-terabyte servers, which is the central pillar of this construction of the personnel information system, 10 high-performance PCs and laser printers, all with a budget of $34,600.

Due to the deterioration of the existing personnel information system, the general headquarters of Lebanon, a similar agency to our joint chiefs of staff, showed seriously low working efficiency, writing personnel related documents manually. They asked for support from the Dongmyeong unit to solve the problem, and as the new system is built, it will be a great help to organizational management and operation of the Lebanese Army.

Brigadier General Tariq Baltage, head of the Lebanon personnel office, attended this giving event and said, “We sincerely appreciate the Korean unit’s positive support and hope that the organic cooperative system of the two countries will be strengthened.”

Meanwhile, Colonel Jung Hae-il, the commander of Dongmyeong unit, said, “I hope to be of help to the development and mission execution of the Lebanese Army with this system we are giving.”
