“Learn Korea” Lebanese celebrities visit Korea

To learn more about Korea, 12 Lebanese political, official, military, media and academic figures are coming to Korea on August 5 with the 14th Dongmyeong unit, which has completed a six-month PKO mission successfully in Lebanon and traded places.

These Lebanese trainees consist of 12 persons, a Southern commander who takes charge of security in Southern states of Lebanon where the Dongmyeong unit is stationed, three senior officers such as the ISF MF commander corresponding to our police commissioner, governor of Tir, mayor of Abbasia, congressman of the Future party, Future TV station director, principal of Cadmus school and embassy legal consultant.

The trainees will visit the ROK Army Special Warfare Command, 20th Fighter Wing, Army headquarters and the agency for defense development during their eight-day visit until August 12 and have some time to be introduced to the Korean Army’s superiority and high-tech weapon systems as well as chances to promote military exchange and friendship. They will also go to Independence Memorial Hall and Insadong for a tour to widen their understanding of Korea, visiting actual sites of Korean education and culture.
